Two extractive pits of possible late post medieval to modern date are visible as earthworks on recent lidar imagery to the west of Lighthouse Road, Durlston. The quarries are located on limestone, and measure approximately 33 m by 22 m and 26 m by 20 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
