Three dispersed extractive pits of possible late post medieval date are visible as earthworks on recent lidar imagery to the north of Round Down, Swanage. The quarries are located on limestone, on a north west to south east alignment. The three pits are visible over an area measuring approximately 140 m by 22 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
