Possible Second World War military earthworks, or field boundaries, are visible as earthworks in two areas on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south east of South Barn, Langton Matravers.

Possible Second World War military earthworks, or field boundaries, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s in two areas to the south east of South Barn, Langton Matravers. The southern area of boundaries are arranged in a grid pattern are formed of banks and ditches covering an area measuring 440 m by 260 m. The northern area consists of one boundary extending from north west to south east for a distance of 300 m and a second boundary crossing it from south west to north east for a distance of 235 m. (1-2) The boundaries show partially as cropmarks on aerial photographs of 2012. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
