A probable post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 to the east of Manor Road, Studland. The pit is sub-rectangular and measures 9 m by 3 m. (1) The pit is located on the Broadstone Sand Member and Oakdale Sand Member. The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
