A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 on Studland Heath to the west of Ferry Road. The crater is sub-oval and may be formed of two conjoined craters. It measures approximately 4 m by 10 m. They are surrounded by banks of spoil. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
