Full Description
Two possible Second World War fox holes are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 to the south east of Greenland. The earthworks consist of two sub-oval depressions surrounded by a circular bank of spoil. The fox holes may have been excavated for military training purposes. (1) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
