A possible Second World War defensive structure, or possible tank training track is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of Studland Heath. The earthwork is formed of a v-shaped bank, measuring approximately 573 m in total length. The site may have been associated with an area of military training (see MDO29036, for bomb craters immediately to the south). (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
