Full Description

A sub-rectangular hollow, approximately 2.1m x 3.8m, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of marshland on the eastern side of Long Island (1). It is of uncertain date and function. It is considered possible it could be associated with historic fishing activities in this area, perhaps the remains of a fish trap or store. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
