Full Description
A small square structure, approximately 4.8m x 4.5m, is visible on aerial photographs of Fitzworth Heath (1). It is possible this could be the remains of a military site associated with Second World War activities in this area, perhaps the remains of a watchtower or shelter from which to oversee military training activities (MDO29006). This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
