Summary

A barrow 21m in diameter is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark mound with internal pit. The site was digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. The pit seems likely to represent a burial of some sort.

Full Description

This barrow was 22 paces in diameter and 1 foot in height. On arable 1953. <1>

Four round barrows: 'A' (69108536). Diam. About 60 ft., Ht. 1 ft. <3>

'A' SY 69108535 Diameter 18.0m, height 0.5m. Much ploughed down. No visible evidence of a ditch around any of these probable bowl barrows. All in arable. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>
