Full Description
A group of two circular depressions are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Shotover Moor (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of silted up and ploughed out bomb craters associated with Second World war activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2), this area having since been stripped in preparation for the construction of more oil wells.
