Full Description

A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs to the west of Wytch Farm (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of an extractive pit of probable post medieval date. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It does not appear to be visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2), most probably having been plough-levelled.
