Full Description

A circular depression, approximately 17.4m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields to the west of Wytch Farm (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second World War activities in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2), the area now obscured under dense scrub.
