Summary

A ring ditch is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs south-east of Middlebere Farm. It is located 55m south-west of the site of a possible late Neolithic/early Bronze Age hengiform monument (MDO28974) and may be contemporary with it. Alternatively this feature could have a natural origin.

Full Description

A ring ditch, approximately 16.6m in diameter, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs south-east of Middlebere Farm (1). It is located 55m south-west of the site of a possible late Neolithic/early Bronze Age hengiform monument (MDO28974) and may be contemporary with it. Alternatively this feature could have a natural origin. It was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
