A group of historic trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the southern end of Arne Heath. They are considered most likely to be related to post medieval or Second World War activities in this area.

A group of historic trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the southern end of Arne Heath (1-3). They are considered most likely to be related to post medieval or Second World War activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (3), the area now being under forestry plantation.
