A group of five dispersed circular features are visible as parchmarks on aerial photographs of Grip Heath taken in 1942 (1). It is possible they could be the remains of bomb craters associated with Second World War activity in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
