Full Description
A group of buildings, structures and trackways are visible on aerial photographs of Shipstal Point taken between 1942 and 1952 (1-3). These features are considered likely to be the remains of ancillery features associated with a Second World War anti aircraft battery located just to the west (MWX4734). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). These features are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (4).
