Full Description
A circular feature, approximately 15m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Arne Bay taken between 1942 and 1952 (1-3). It is considered likely to be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second World War activities in this area. It was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). This feature is still visible as an earthwork on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (4).
