Full Description

The remains of a curvilinear bank, approximately 40m in diameter, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Gold Point Heath taken in 1947 (1). It is of uncertain date and function. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2), this area now being obscured by vegetation cover.
