Full Description
A line of Second World War anti tank cubes is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1945 at White Pits. They are located on the northern edge of the beach to the north of a line of beach scaffolding (see MD28908 ). The curving line of cubes measures 98 m in length. The anti tank cubes are probably associated with the defences around the Chain Home radar site (see MD28870) or RAF Southbourne (see MWX1164). (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
