Full Description
A possible medieval or post medieval field boundary or trackway is visible as a earthwork on aerial photographs of 1945 to the north west of White Pits. The feature is visible as a linear bank measuring approximately 100 m in length. (1) It appears to fit in with the post medieval field pattern as seen on the 1st ed OS map so may be later in date. (2) The boundary is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photography available to the project. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
