<1> Royal Commission on Historic Monuments, 1970, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume III (Central) Part 2, 451 (Monograph). SDO136.
‘(23) Barrow (?) (SY 78 NW; 70998995). Near centre of ‘henge’ monument (24). A ‘mound or barrow at the centre’ was claimed by R. J. C. Atkinson (Excavations at Dorchester, Oxon. (First Report) (1951), 104-5). R.A.F. V.A.P. CPE/UK 1934: 5082-3, suggest former mound here but no clear traces remain on the ground.’

There is no visible trace of this barrow which has presumably been ploughed out. Situated in a regularly ploughed field. 7/7/E
