Full Description
A group of criss-crossing trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Crichton's Heath taken in 1947 (1). They are considered likely to be either histoic or modern in date, probably associated with extractive or military activities. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are still partially visible as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery availabel to the project (2).
