Full Description
A circular feature, approximately 6.9m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Arne Heath taken in 1947 (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second World War activities in this area. It was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). This feature is still visible as an earthwork on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
