Full Description
A medieval or post medieval boundary bank is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 to the south of Crouch Hill. The boundary runs along the edge of an area of post medieval drainage (see MDO28781) and may be associated with it. The bank is oriented north west- south east and curves to the west at its northern end. It is visible in three sections, partly with an associated ditch, and measures approximately 310 m in total length. (1) The site is still visible as an earthwork on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
