Full Description

Two possible late Prehistoric field boundaries or trackways are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of 1946 to the west of Avon Run Road, Christchurch. One boundary is visible as a bank with an associated ditch, oriented north west-south east and measuring 122 m in length. The second boundary is visible as a ditch, oriented north-south and measuring 115 m in length. (1) The area has now been built over. The boundary may be associated with an area of late Prehistoric field boundaries and a single boundary located to the north east (see MDO28800-1). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
