Full Description

A possible late post medieval field boundary or drain is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 in the recreation ground to the north of Stanpit Marsh. The feature is visible as a narrow, linear, ditch, measuring approximately 50 m in length. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
