An area of post medieval drainage is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947, within Stanpit Marsh, to the east of Grimbury Point. The earthworks are visible as ditches over an area measuring approximately 145 m by 70 m, with drains oriented south west-north east. (1) The drains are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
