Full Description
Four post medieval drains, which are probably associated with a system of drainage in the same area (see MDO28774), are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1947 adjacent to the western bank of the River Stour. They are oriented north-west-south east and east-west. They appear to cut through the drainage system, but may be associated with it. (1) The drains still partially survive as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
