A possible post medieval enclsoure is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1952 to the south west of Goathorn Pier. The enclosure is banked, sub-rectangular in shape, and has an internal measurement of 15 m by 6 m. (1) It may be associated with an area of sand extraction located around it (see MDO28766). This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
