Full Description

Three Second World war bomb craters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 to the east of Goathorn Pier in the intertidal zone within Brand's Bay. The bomb craters are sub-circular in shape and measure between 4 m and 6 m in diameter. (1) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
