A modern pipeline is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 in the intertidal zone to the east of Shore Road at the northern end of the neck of the Sandbanks peninsula. The pipeline extends from north west to south east for a distance of 225 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
