Full Description

An area of post medieval drainage is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 to the east of Gravel Point. The drains are visible as narrow ditches over an area measuring approximately 290 m by 70 m. The ditches are oriented predominantly north-south and east-west. (1) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
