Full Description
A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) Ordnance Survey map. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure. The lime kiln is also visible as an earthwork on aerial photos at this location, showing as an extractive hollow and a possible outer wall or bank. {1}
