A field boundary of possible post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 extending from south west to north east within Harley Wood on Brownsea Island. The boundary is visible as three sections of bank, extending for a distance of 238 m. (1) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
