A possible medieval or post medieval fish trap, or a natural feature, is visible as an earthwork or stucture on aerial photographs of 1959 to the west of Furzey Island. The possible fish trap is a V-shaped structure with arms measuring 60 m and 73 m in length. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
