Full Description
A late post medieval or early modern groyne is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1947, on the south east corner of the Sandbanks peninsula. The groyne is located adjacent to the location of a groyne marked on the modern map, but is no longer visible. It measures approximately 14 m in length. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
