A late post medieval or early modern jetty is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1941, extending to the north east from Studland Heath, into Shell Bay. The jetty consists of a line of posts extending for a length of approximately 95 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
