Full Description
Two boundaries or trackways or possible post medieval date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 to the east of Ower Farm, Studland. One boundary, visible as ditch with an associated bank, extends east to west for a distance of 165 m. The second lies perpendicular to the first, extending to the south for a distance of 28 m. (1) The boundaries or trackways are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) They appear to predate the modern field pattern and do not appear on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
