Full Description
A probable Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 on Newton Heath, Studland. The crater is sub-circular and surrounded by a bank of spoil. It measures approximately 13 m in diameter. (1) The crater is still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
