Full Description

A 19th century or early modern groyne is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s in the intertidal zone to the west of Branksome Dene Chine. The groyne is visible as a line of posts over a distance of 24 m. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
