Full Description
A possible Second World War Emergency Water Supply is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of the junction of Southbourne Overcliff Drive and Clifton Road. The possible EWS measures 13 m square. (1) An EWS was a reservoir used if the main water supply was cut off. The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
