Full Description
A Second World War Type 22 pillbox is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s on West Cliff to the east of Durley Chine to the beach front. The pillbox appears to have a small rectangular structure on top of it. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
