Full Description

A small quantity of Mesolithic flint including several microliths and a bladelet core were found during investigations following the digging of a new pond in the Nursery Garden, Hengistbury Head in 1981. The flint was found scattered widely through the sands down to about one metre depth. The flint recovered also included some Neolithic and Bronze Age material.
