Summary

Bowl barrow. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 52 feet in diameter with a mound about 8 feet high, surrounded by a ditch about 10 feet wide, and tree covered. It has been damaged, possibly in the course of antiquarian investigation.

Full Description

Barrow is on the parish boundary between West Knighton and Warmwell. Leslie Grinsell (1) notes it was damaged by the construction of a dug out 1939 - 1945, he also suggests the name may relate to a lost legend or supernatural creature.

Huck Barrow, a ditch bowl barrow on an almost level site, is 52ft in diameter by 8ft high with a ditch about 10ft wide. It has been damaged, and is covered by trees. (1,3)
