Summary

Houses with shops of two and three storeys, were built in the mid 19th century as private houses, some of which were semi detached. Modern shops have been built in front. Numbers 245-251 form a three storey terrace with rendered front; the first floor windows have rounded heads, those to the two middle houses being grouped to form an arcade.
