Summary

Houses which were built in the early 18th century against the north wall of the Rising Sun as a single dwelling with two rooms on each floor plan. This was divided in the early 19th century and the front wall was rebuilt with doorways at each end and apparently a two storey bay window to each house; both the latter have since been replaced and shop windows inserted. The interior retains some doorcases with egg-and-dart enrichment and an original fireplace with pulvinated frieze and moulded and enriched cornice. Demolished before 1970.
