Full Description

The remains of a well were found at the King's Head, High Street, Poole during a watching brief by Poole Museum Service in 1994. This well was about 0.7m in diameter and was lined with chalk blocks. The base of the well was not reached. No dating evidence was recovered but its form suggests it was eighteenth or nineteenth century in date. (1)
