Summary

Cottage partly of one storey and attics incorporates in the north wall, forming the south wall of number 21, a cruck truss with tie beam and two collars and a spurt tie visible on the west side. No other later medieval features are apparent in the cottage. A doorway with ogee moulded head and jambs was inserted in the lower part of the north wall in the 16th century and subsequently blocked; in the late 18th century the cottage was divided, the south part being raised to two storeys and embellished with a door frame with pedimented head. Demolished before 1970.
