Full Description
SZ 00829046: Excavations carried out north of St James' Church in 1973 produced pottery and food refuse dating from the 13th century until the 18th century. It is thought, due to the close proximity to the church, that this site may represent a priests' house or oratory. <1>
Excavations to the north of St James's Close undertaken by Poole Museum in 1974 revealed an undated chalk and limestone L-shaped wall footing. <2>
